Olympic Gold Medalists to Watch - Saxton Speakers
At Saxton we have been closely following the Olympics, cheering on our incredible Australian athletes, including the talented Saxton Speakers competing on the world stage. Here are some of the outstanding Aussie Gold Medalists available for booking at Saxton, ready to inspire and engage your audience.
Jessica Fox - Australian canoeist Jess Fox has had a sensational 2024 Paris Olympics campaign, with many hailing her as the GOAT (greatest of all time). Her long-awaited Olympic gold has finally arrived, solidifying her status as an Australian sporting legend. Having already secured three Olympic medals in her career, this first gold came in the Canoe Slalom C-1 event, and she followed it up with another gold in the K-1 Kayaking event just days later. These victories make Fox the most decorated K-1 canoeist in the world.
Ariarne Titmus & coach Dean Boxall - Ariarne Titmus secured her second consecutive Olympic gold medal in the Women's 400m Freestyle and added another gold with her team in the Women's 4x200m Freestyle Relay. She also earned two silver medals: one in the Women's 200m Freestyle, where she was narrowly beaten by teammate Mollie O'Callaghan, and another in the Women's 800m Freestyle, finishing behind Katie Ledecky. Coach Dean Boxall expressed immense pride in Titmus's achievements, continuing his trademark exuberant celebrations.
Mollie O'Callaghan - In her individual Olympic final debut, Mollie O'Callaghan made a splash by clinching gold in the thrilling Women's 200m Freestyle final, edging out teammate Ariarne Titmus. She also captured gold in both the Women's 4x100m Freestyle Relay and the Women's 4x200m Freestyle Relay. Additionally, Mollie earned silver medals in the Women's 4x100m Medley Relay and the Mixed 4x100 Medley Relay. Read more…

Both Excited agreed to just get the two golds vs the jump off and got the golds and also they Put the gold medals on each other.
Now I added of one of them Giving the other a medal but I really like this how another team member or athlete puts the medals on the winners. This is something they should keep as I've seen it a lot during these olympics

extra, extra! more cast news coming your way!
samuel jordan as master sergeant john j. herrmann
dean ridge as flight officer richard l. snyder
alex boxall as technical sergeant monroe b. thornton
roman summers as sergeant mallard (much like sgt. haley, i have no idea who this man is. there doesnt seem to be a "mallard" in the 100th bomb group. kinda similar to lt. friedkin, i wonder if this mallard is from a different branch or unit altogether lol)
also, imdb finally added barry keoghan to imdb, which is fine and all (since he, next to callum and anthony, was one of the first people to be recognized on set). only problem is that there is no indication of who he's playing! i'm only a little miffed!
#but man. throwback to when imdb only showed 5 cast members. 5 to 53 is like such a nice change#also how many redheads has that made? i lost count#masters of the air#hbo war#cast#john herrmann#richard snyder#monroe thornton#mallard no first name#samuel jordan#dean ridge#alex boxall#roman summers

Play for Today: Don't Be Silly (BBC, 1979)
"I think men often don't know what they're doing. They don't analyse themselves the way women do; that would be unmanly. I used to ask Michael what he was thinking. I never do now."
#play for today#Don't be silly#Single play#Domestic abuse tw#Rachel Billington#Kenneth Ives#Susan Fleetwood#Christopher Godwin#Maria Aitken#Doreen Mantle#Richenda Carey#Rosalind Boxall#Timothy Chasin#Stephanie Cole#Noel Collins#Emily Dean#Charlotte Howard#James Lister#Harrowing‚ frankly. One of the most disturbing and upsetting plays produced on British TV in this era and all the more affecting for being#So horribly real. Less than 10% of the plays produced for Play for Today were written by women (one of the main failings of the series#Along with similarly under representation of people of colour as creators and performers). Those that were made‚ however‚ are among the#Most urgent and vital dramatic works being made in the medium of television. Billington wrote two plays for the strand‚ this being the#First. A slow‚ steady view of a marriage between wife and wife beater. Shot in a clinical‚ documentary fashion we see the slow build up of#Resentments and frustrations as well as the tell tale beginnings of abuse as the husband lashes out more and more. Cut through with pov#Shots of a hospital bed being wheeled through a corridor‚ there is never any doubt about where the narrative is headed. It's inevitable and#Perhaps all the more powerful for that. The late Susan Fleetwood is incredible here‚ holding the entire play together and making a very#Real character of her part: tired‚ frightened‚ dignified‚ confused. A brilliant performance‚ as is Godwin in a very different way. He is a#Monster by degrees; outwardly charming and sociable but increasingly cruel and ultimately violent to his wife. A truly important play and a#Deeply affecting one but obviously one full of triggers and disturbing content; the denouement when it finally comes is utterly horrifying.
